How Do I Solve Common iPad Problems?

iPad commonly has a problem of not charging or of a slow charging. Even when the users plugs his or her iPad two and laptop he or she gets not charging message. This iPad doesn't work even with the relatively new laptops that have been launched. In these cases the fullest possibility of charging your iPad is to pluck the iPad directly into the mains using the supplied charging plug. Secondly if you put your iPad on the sleep mode then even the older and low powered USB ports will be able to recharge it. However this may be a bit slowly.
The next common problem that the iPad faces is the Wi-Fi network problem. Since iPad has been launched there have been many press coverage is over iPad Wi-Fi problem. There is still a dispute in the uses and even in the makers about Wi-Fi be a genuine problem not. Many of them suggest that it is a design fault itself. This can be solved with a hard reset. The user has to simply press and hold the iPad sleep / Wake until a screen asking power shutdown appears. This will reset your iPad. After doing so the user has to simply press and hold the sleep or Wake button to restart it. This may solve the problem to an extent. These are two major problems of iPad which will reduce the user questioning of how to solve iPad problems?
The iPad synchronization problem also has created some major disturbance in the uses. The synchronization is used to synchronize the Outlook calendar and contacts with PC. Even though it often works flawless, sometimes a computer or iPad can get confused. This can result in an unsatisfied synchronization with the PC. To solve this problem you only have to reset the iTunes sync history. By doing this you may be able to synchronize properly with your PC in no time.
The other major problem that the airport faces is losing off network while in sleep mode. This problem may cost and iPad to lose connection to the network after it's been sleep and you have woken it up. If an iPad user detects such a problem he should try turning up the brightness slightly. This may sound a bit like tech voodoo but it has many times been reported by many uses that the solution has completely fixed their problem.
These are some of the major problems that are faced in iPad's. However there are some other problems on which the solutions are available very easily if the user contacts any of the iPad customer service. Android Tablets Vs Apple iPad: The War

The manufacturing of the iPad and iPhone by the Apple Company has begun a new competitive environment for other companies that manufacture such devices. Apple has got so much fame due to its iPhone and iPad and that is why the other companies are trying to achieve such fame by introducing their devices in the market. Google is one of the top-notch companies that are trying to manufacture a device which can compete with Apple's iPad. It is going to be a challenging atmosphere for other companies as well. There has to be a computing device that can work better or equal to the Apple's one but the main thing is to manufacture a device that differs to Apple's iPad in terms of look, functionality and other features. If such a device is manufactured by any company and it can catch up the attention of most of the people then this would be a remarkable achievement. Google is trying to achieve the same objective in current scenario.
It is a real fact that Apple's iPad is not going to stand on top as compared to other devices but it will not stand for too long as most of the companies are coming up with their manufactured devices. However this year is going to be an amazing year so far for Apple because of its launching of iPad and iPhone. Google is working on its upcoming Android tablet that would outrun Apple's iPad. If you just go into the detail of this battle between Apple and Google then you would come to know that the comparison of Google Android with Apple's iPad or iPad is not justifying because these are not phones. If you just compare Android with Apple iPhone then this would also be not justifying. The reason is that the competition between Apple and Google is not over phones, it is the battle of software platform. Now a question would arise in your mind that who would win this software platform war? The answer is very much clear as the one that will come up with such device which will contain most powerful ecosystem of developers, users and mobile devices will surely win this battle.
Google android is also enjoying an impressive year so far along with Apple because the Android is intensively used by the customers. Google reported that its Android App store had got around 75,000 offerings and later on the demand rapidly rose up. The sale of Android phones is twenty percent more than that of Apple's iPhone 4 sales. The Android was not so much popular a year ago and it seemed that Android would not make it up to the level of Apple iPhone but now it is competing well. If we just sum up the overall value and reaction of people towards Android and iPhone then it would clearly justify that Android is going to be more popular than iPhone. If Google comes up with its custom-Android tablet then this would benefit Google itself because the rage for getting Android is rising as compared to iPhone.

iPad Vs Android: What's The Best Tablet?

Welcome to the technology wars. Whenever there is something new on the market it is not long before everybody has a version of it. Choosing a best should not be predicated upon bells and whistles, but performance, price, options and functionality. Read on for a side by side comparison of the iPad and Android in these areas.
Performance: If the truth is told they both perform remarkably well. Primary functions the are the same. So what if the iPad doesn't have a camera or USB ports. It also does not support flash, which is an important feature since its browser is safari. With iPad you cannot do YouTube, more's the pity. Performance in all of the areas that count they are tied.
Price: If you are into buying apps that are fun then Android is the way to go. The best part about the Android is that all of the apps are free source applications. This means that you can tinker with and improve upon any app they have. This is not so with the iPad. Their applications are very proprietary.
Options: If you love Android it is probably because of the different options that it does offer. It has several versions on the market while the iPad is well the iPad. That is all well and good but Apple is the hardware master. Let's face it software (Google's forte) comes and goes, but hardware is forever. That is the power Apple has as far as being the number one brand name in hardware over Google.
The facts are that for the average user any of the pads on the market would do in a pinch. Which begs the question is more always better? Really there are apps for everything with the Android and that may just be its downfall. The speeds with which these apps are activated have already caused eruptions in families. The price of these seemingly innocent apps for the android can add up really fast. This is one problem the iPad doesn't have.
The Apple iPad is the top seller in the world but Google has been giving it a run for its money. With all of the different pads working with various Operating Systems they are a going to steal a lot of the iPad's thunder. The only thing that would really bring Apple down is that it is on the AT&T network. A net work known for its spotty and erratic service.
Buy what you like and what you can afford but for more continuous service the Android wind hands down. Bear in mind if Apple went with another service, other than AT&T they would be unstoppable.

Comparing Motorola Xoom With Apple iPad 2

The mobile phone market is witnessing a new trend with the growing popularity and demand of tablet PCs. More and more consumers are going for tablet computers and looking at this new trend, all mobile manufacturing companies are launching tablet PCs to attract customers. Apple iPad and Samsung galaxy Tab are already available in the market for past few months. Recently Apple has launched the second edition of iPads in the form of iPad 2. Immediately after its release in the market, the device received a record sale of over one million units.
Many other tablets from leading mobile manufacturers are waiting for their launch such as Motorola Xoom, Blackberry Playbook and LG Optimus Pad. In this article we will compare some of the features of the iPad 2 with Motorola Xoom which, by many, is considered as the strongest competitor of this second tablet computer from Apple.
The iPad 2 comes with a 9.7 inches wide backlit-LED IPS display whereas the Xoom offers a standard 10.1 inches wide TFT display screen. Although this bigger dimension offers a superb platform for watching movies or surfing the Internet but for users accustomed of using iPads may find the viewing angles a bit awkward.
The designs of both the tablets are great however Motorola's version of the tablet is a bit bulkier and heavier than the slim and compact iPad 2.
If we talk about the processor, Xoom is powered by a powerful 1GHz dual core Tegra 2 processor whereas iPad 2 is equipped with 1GHz A5 chip with 512 MB internal memory. With 1GB of RAM and Android 3.0 OS make the Xoom really fast and efficient and gives it an advantage over its competitor with better and faster execution of tasks. Apple's tablet comes equipped with the new iOs 4.3 and Motorola provides Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS in its tablet computer.
Talking about the camera feature, iPad 2 comes with dual cameras with a 0.7-megapixel primary camera with 720P movie capture capability, and a secondary VGA camera for making video calls. Xoom comes with a much better camera feature with a 5 mega pixel primary digital camera with dual LED flash and autofocus features. It also includes a 2 mega pixel secondary camera for video conferencing.
On the connectivity front also the Xoom gets an advantage over iPad2 by offering Wi-Fi a,b,g & n (dual-band) and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR along with MicroSD support, Micro USB port, HDMI-out features whereas its competitor provides Wi-Fi a,b,g & n, and Bluetooth 2.1 capabilities with A2DP and EDR.
Considering the above mentioned points, Motorola Xoom seems to offer better functionality than the iPad 2. However, with a great price tag and a long list of Apple fans iPad 2 will seems to be a best seller in the tablet PC segment in the coming months.
Pay monthly Apple iPad 2 deals are already out in the market but consumers will have to wait for a couple of months for pay monthly Motorola XOOM deals to reach the market.

Free Apple iPad Testers Wanted - Become A Product Tester and Get Your Free Apple iPad Today

Nowadays, promotional offers like free Apple iPad can be seen almost everywhere in the internet. Offers such as these seem too good to be true that a lot of people will feel skeptical the moment they come across with such offers.
Considering the status of our economy, people welcome free offers without much hesitation. Freebies are at all times tempting. But the big question is, are these free iPad offers genuine? If they are, why would companies give pricey products free of charge? Let's face it, the price tag of a brand new iPad is more or less $500 and it's really hard to think that a company such as Apple would simply give it to a large number of consumers for free. So what is actually the reason behind these free iPad giveaways? And how can you avail of this offer?
Why companies give out freebies?
The main reason is probably the want of companies to make more money from their products. Nowadays, never expect anything to be ultimately free. A good example of this is the free iPad offer. Companies offering free iPad would solicit your feedback regarding their products as a non-monetary payment. Free Apple iPad testers wanted by market research companies should perform a marketing strategy known as "product testing". These companies are in charge of distributing the free iPad giveaways to the testers and collecting feedback from them.
Feedback provided by-product testers aid the company, such as Apple, in upgrading their current products to create enhanced versions. This method is a wise way of ensuring quality products that will surely be patronized by consumers. The main purpose of manufacturing a product is to sell it to consumers, and letting the consumers decide what features to improve or to include makes a product more sellable. Product testing makes it easier for manufacturing companies to make products according to consumer's choices since all they have to do is to apply the features that consumers have asked for.
When to expect product giveaways?
Free Apple iPad testers wanted for product testing aren't an endless offer. Generally, these offers exist only for a brief period of time. This is normally present around the launching date of the product. Don't waste the moment waiting for the right time to be an iPad tester, act now so you can own the unit without having to pay a huge amount.
How can a free Apple iPad be obtained?
Always bear in mind that just like other online promotional offers, scams are involved. Scammers are like predators that are all the time watchful for preys. Usually, they target gullible consumers who aren't prudent enough to safeguard their financial accounts. They do anything just to take money from their victims. Considering this, you have to know the difference between a legitimate offer and a scam. In a legitimate offer, free Apple iPad testers wanted by market research companies are not asked with any payment or required to purchase other products. You should obtain the iPad free of any monetary charges. So, avoid those suspicious site that request for money.

WePad, The iPad Rival

A small German company with only 180 employees is trying to rival with Apple. The Berlin based Neofonie has launched the WePad tablet which aims to be a competitor for Apple's recently launched iPad. The WePad's marketing campaign actually criticizes the iPad while emphasizing the difference between "I" and "We" with their marketing slogan.
The Asia-manufactured WePad weighs 800 grams, has a 288 x 190 x 13 mm size and is Android-based. It's 11.6 inch display offers a 1366x768 resolution. Powered by the pretty fast Intel Atom N450 running at 1.66 GHz, the WePad has a built-in webcam, something the iPad designers forgot to add. To further nail the iPad in the head, the WePad has Java, Flash and Adobe Air support which makes navigating the Internet natural as it should be. The WePad also features two USB ports, GMA3150 graphics, a 6 hour lasting battery and a flash card reader.
There is a PDF document available online which outlines the similarities and differences between the iPad and the WePad made by available the WePad company itself.
When it comes to price, the WePad is a bit more expensive but considering the improvements and additional features when compared to the iPad, it may be worth it. If you can buy the base iPad for $499, the WePad starts at $599.
So, with a larger screen, a better screen resolution, a webcam and Flash support and true multitasking, you need to think twice before buying the iPad instead of the WePad. If WePad will be a success or not - only time will tell. For now, it looks promising!

iPad 2 Review - The Evolution Of An Amazing Device

It is barely a year since Apple unleashed its original iPad, a game changing device in the world of mobile computing. Now the tablet is firmly established as a niche product: smaller than a laptop or netbook but larger than a smartphone. The Apple iPad might not have been the first tablet device but it was the one that renewed the format for the mobile internet age.
Now, twelve months later, with the original iPad a runaway success, but with other manufacturers getting in on the act in greater numbers, Apple has released the iPad 2. The excitement and anticipation concerning this new model has been remarkable, so in this article we'll have a look at what the new iPad brings to the table, and whether it makes sense for owners of the old model to go for an upgrade straight away.
Whenever Apple launches a new, upgraded version of one of its products, you can be sure that the new model will strive for something noticeably different in design compared to its predecessor. This is how Apple uses design to stimulate desire for its products. While there is always technical advancement, at the same time appearance and style are used by Apple to distance the new product from the old and make what was 'new' a few months ago seem 'old hat'.
Bearing this in mind, the new iPad 2 is surprisingly recognizable from the old model. To be fair, when it comes to the tablet it would be hard to reinvent the wheel; having said that, the new model is noticeably thinner and sleeker than the original. There is also a curve to the edge of the new unit that gives it a different feel in the hand. As well as being thinner than the first iPad, the new model is also lighter, by 80 grams.
Moving on to the technical specifications, if we compare the old iPad with the iPad 2 we can see that there have been some big improvements made. The new unit is powered by an A5 dual core 1 GHz processor chip, which is effectively twice as fast as the single core A4 chip in the old iPad. The iPad 2 has 512 MB of RAM, again twice that of the first generation iPad. Also on the plus side, the iPad 2 features an upgraded graphics engine that is claimed to be nine times faster than the previous version. On the other hand, the iPad 2 screen is the same (1024x768 pixels) as that on the old iPad, so there is no improvement there.
A significant step forward with the iPad 2 is in its provision of two cameras: a rear-facing cam for video and still capture, and a front-facing VGA cam for video chats. In contrast the original iPad had no camera of any kind. Another improvement with the iPad 2 is its inbuilt gyroscope that detects whether the unit is being held horizontally or vertically. This feature aims to counteract an annoying tendency of the old iPad to display images or pages at the wrong orientation if the unit was moved suddenly.
As you might expect, the enhanced hardware of the iPad 2 makes for faster processing and smoother display of some kinds of material. Simple web browsing, using the supplied Safari browser, doesn't seem that different but video playback is definitely somewhat smoother. However, one disappointment is the camera quality. The resolution is not that great, either for capture of video and stills, or for the quality of video chats. This is a little surprising given the superior specifications of the cameras on the iPhone 4. On the other hand, a tablet like the iPad is not really an ideal size or shape to use as a camera. Perhaps the company's research shows that buyers use the iPad chiefly to browse the net and as an e-reader, and so there was no point in over-specifying the device.
One other thing we have to mention is the issue of Adobe Flash support. In common with the various iPhones and previous iPad, the iPad 2 does not support Flash, so any websites dependent on this technology (and there are lots of them) will not display on the iPad. Some websites, for example Google's various sites, offer HTML5 versions as a substitute for Flash, but many other websites do not so these will not be viewable at all on the iPad 2.
In conclusion, we shall try to answer the twin questions of whether you should choose the iPad 2 over another tablet, and also whether existing iPad users should replace their machines. With regard to other tablets out there at the moment, the chief contender seems to be the Motorola Xoom. If you put the iPad 2 up against the Xoom, in our opinion the Xoom comes out slightly on top. The display is crisper and brighter, and the Motorola is better specified all round. On the other hand, the iPad is smaller and lighter, which is an advantage, even when performance is not quite as good. Of course, the other major difference is the interface. The Xoom is an Android device, and Android has increasing numbers of fans. The adaptability and flexibility of the Android OS is definitely greater than that of the Apple iOS, but to this day many people, especially those already used to Apple devices, prefer the smoothness of the Apple interface.
If you already own an iPad, you may be wondering whether or not to upgrade. If you are the kind of person who has to get the latest and greatest, and for whom the cost is not a concern, then yes, you should go for it. The iPad 2 has an improved, sleeker case and a noticeably zippier performance. You will certainly see a speed difference compared to the old model. On the other hand, if you have only recently purchased the iPad, you could take comfort in knowing you have an excellent product and enjoy it for what it is. Unless you are desperate to be up to date, you should perhaps wait for the iPad 3, or for a discount on the iPad 2, which will probably come at some point when this brand new product has been on the market for a while.

Apple iPad - Quick Intro

The tablet computer that was designed and developed by the company named Apple was called Apple iPad. This product was particularly marketed as a platform for entertainment media as a replacement to books, periodicals, movies, music and games. In addition to this entire entertainment media that was attached with the iPad it also had some very major and popular functions like web browsing and downloading. With the weight of 700 g that is approximately equal to 25 ounces, its shape and weight are between most complimentary smart phones, laptops and computers. Apple released the iPad in April 2010 and sold 3 million of the devices in nearly 80 days.
The iPad runs on nearly the same operating system as the earlier iPod touch and iPhone used. They have only made it slightly more complex and modern to suit the generation today. Without the modification can it would only have been running the programs that are approved by Apple and distributed only via its online stores. Similar to iPhone and iPod touch, the Apple iPad is also controlled by a multi-touch display. The multi-test display was a break from the most previous tablet computers which used a pressure triggered stylus. Today iPad uses Wi-Fi and 3G mobile data connection to browse Internet, load and stream media and also to install software. This device is not only a very efficient and powerful machine in it but can also be connected to other computers, laptops and many other electronic gadgets via USB cables or using some other means of communication.
It was a breakthrough on April 2010 the date when Apple launched its first iPad. The media reaction that was considered to be neutral or positive for this promising device turned out to be more than positive by the time it was launched. The world has not seen so pop act and a package that post full of essential software, systems and functions that were never ever provided in an electronic history. The iPad with its new and compact looks not only became popular in the business class but so was very popular in the young generation. Whatever the age group or the work groups of the consumer were, the iPad functions satisfied all their needs. It not only became an efficient way for trade and communication for the business class but also became as a style symbol and entertainment pack for the young generation.
Apple's applications store that provides iPhone's and iPad applications does impose a censorship on their content. This has become a major issue for the book publishers and magazines seeking to use them as a platform.
As the modifications in iPad are done it is reaching to the new popularity heights day by day. Apple is also planning to launch the new models with extended features and functionality of Apple iPad.

iPad WiFi Versus iPad 3G - Five Major Differences Between iPad WiFi and iPad 3G

So, what's the difference between an iPad with WiFi and an iPad with 3G plus WiFi. It's a question that seems to come up frequently, so I thought it would be worth finding out some answers to the question.
I've found five major differences between the two models and keep on looking for more. Here are the five differences:
Number 1: Limited connectivity vs. Extensive connectivity. With the iPad WiFi your connectivity to the internet is limited to areas where you can access the web via WiFi. With the 3G version of the iPad you can connect both via WiFi or the 3G cellular network. That means it should have connectivity anywhere you get cell phone coverage. To get the same coverage with the WiFi version you would need a portable WiFi, like Verizon's MiFi or some of the smart phones that can act like a WiFi.
Number 2: You Pay for More Connectivity. The 3G iPad costs more to buy. At the time I write this, the difference is about $130 in the US. To use the 3G wireless service you need to have a wireless data plan with you carrier. In the US, AT&T provides data plans for a price. To start they had a $14.99 per month data plan with 250MB of data included and a $30 per month "unlimited" plan. The unlimited plan was discontinued pretty quickly and now you can get 2G of data for $25 per month.
Number 3: iPad with 3G also has built in GPS service. The WiFi version can do some triangulation; you need a 3G iPad to get a really accurate location fix.
Number 4: Some small physical differences. On the back of the 3G iPad there is a black plastic section that enables the iPad to get a better connection to the wireless network. The 3G version also has a door on the side for you to insert the Micro SIM card. These differences are probably not that big a deal given that you will probably want to use an iPad cover to protect your iPad.
Number 5: Shorter Battery Life for the 3G. Using the 3G network chews up more battery. From what I have read it cuts battery life from about 10 hours down to between 7 and 8 hours. Not bad, but it does count at the end of a long day.
So to sum it up, if you are just using the iPad around the house, get the WiFi version and if you need to use it out in the field you are probably better off getting the 3G version of the iPad.

A Look At iPad Connectivity

IPad connectivity is supposed to be superior than most of the devices available today. iPad provides various mediums of connectivity such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Internet and GPS. All of these connectivity's are very efficient and comfortable for the users.
The connectivity is basically a medium through which a person using his or her device can connect with outer world or can gather information. Many of the cellular phones and iPhone's also provide such kind of connectivity's. Some of the iPad connectivity and its comparison with other providers of the same features are described below.
3G:
International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT--2000) that is also very well known as 3G or third-generation is the basic and the most efficient feature that is provided by iPad. Using this feature a user can not only access the Internet but also can render and download files from it. The numbers which you can probably predict I'm not the real story of 3G provided by iPad. The 3G speeds that it provides are not only very fast but also the gulf between loading pages over Fiji is predictably vast. The iPad 3G is tested on the AT&T 3G networks. At the time of the tests iPad felt a bit slow mainly because of tough faster iPad CPU that can render pages. So it was only waiting for the Dada that was just trickling in. Still the 3G provided by iPad is totally usable and nothing quite beats the feeling of Internet on device like this.
GPS:
Global positioning system that is commonly known as GPS is a second major feature that has been provided by iPad. To check the efficiency and comfort level of the GPS provided by iPad some tests were done by the fellow companies. The results of his test surprise them in a very different way. The GPS provided by iPad was compared with the 3GS provided by iPhone OS 4.0 beta. This test was carried via Google maps for further most possibly fair and equal comparison. As the iPad did not show much of the speed at the start it was relatively slower with the ratio of 4: 1 than iPhone. As the phrase says slow and steady always wins the race so did happen here. IPad's GPS was much accurate and consistent on tracking the progress and was also totally smooth and nearly instantaneous in the later run. On the other hand iPhone percussion effect behind and jumped forward to catch up. The conclusion that the test gave voice that the iPad was slower to lock but the lock was stronger. This test proved that the iPad GPS system to be much efficient and modern than most of the GPS tracking systems available in the market today.
The above giving details show that iPad is not only good in the entertainment sector but can also do of much use in communication systems. And The test done on these devices not only proved the supremacy of iPad connectivity but also proved it to be more efficient than others in the same field.
Do you want to test out the various connection? Why not try your luck and get an iPad for free today!

Necessary Accessories For the iPad

Accessories for the iPad have to be purchased with the gadget if one wishes to get the most of the device. Apple sells many accessories directly with the product that you can purchase. Third party members will also be permitted to manufacture the accessories for enhancing the iPad. Apple offers particular applications with the product itself. It refrains from leaving everything in the hands of the applications store. Similarly, Apple believes that there are some accessories that are very important for the use of the iPad.
A very important accessory for the gadget is the keyboard dock. It charges the iPad and does the work of the keyboard simultaneously. If you are on the lookout for a mobile and portable keyboard like the iPad, you could also go for a wireless keyboard. But you have to be aware of the fact that the wireless keyboard could pose some problems related to connectivity at some point of time. Typing on the iPad is necessary for those who wish to get their work done on the iPad rather than just viewing the media content. You have to keep in mind that the iPad is a device that will give big productivity if the accessories are used in tandem in order to increase the work experience.
An accessory that you can't do without would be the case for the iPad. There are a number of cases available in the market that protect the gadget well but there are some that are tailored keeping only the product in mind. The iPad case is black, simple, chic and sleek. It could be folded in order to prop up the iPad so that it can be viewed from an angle in order to see the content of the media better without having to hold it in the hand the entire time you are seeing the content. The other cases do not have this feature of propping the iPad up for reading it. They just protect the exterior of the iPad, maybe the screen and possibly the edges. But they are not able to prop up the iPad well. The Camera connection Kit is also a necessary accessory. As its name suggests, it connects the digital camera to the gadget so that you are able to upload your photos to the device in order to view them on a beautiful display.
If you do not have the camera connection kit, you will have to view your photographs by browsing the Internet. This is a must have accessory for photographers. If they do not go for this kit, they will have to browse the Internet and then download the photographs to the iPad. All this will take up a lot of time. The USB adapter is a small, wonderful device that charges the iPad. It is easier, stronger and faster as compared to charging the iPad via a computer. The iPad is a multipurpose gadget. You should invest in all the necessary accessories in order to use them in any kind of situation.

Apple's New Tablet - What Will iPad Cost and How Does it Work?

Apple has finally done it. Apple has released its new tablet device, that is. The Mac public was expecting, indeed clamoring -- for Apple to release such a device -- and soon! For Apple to have failed to do so would have been a major letdown (to its customers as well as its stockholders). The momentum was just impossible to resist.
After all, the iPhone is essentially a miniature tablet computer. Apple has shown that it can "do" such a device like no one else. So, despite Steve Jobs past protestations, releasing a new tablet was a no-brainer. All Apple had to do is scale up its brilliant interface to a larger device.
Did I say "all Apple had to do?" The technical challenges in producing this new device, called the iPad, were enormous. Apple had to essentially design a whole new operating system that is not quite the Mac and not quite the iPhone, rewrite its core applications from scratch, and basically rethink the entire way a computer operates.
Apple was not the first to release a new tablet computer, just as it was not the first to release an MP3 player or cell phone, but it may well be the company that succeeds in making the tablet computer truly "catch fire" with the public.
Apple has a tremendous head start with 140,000+ apps for the iPhone, and it wisely designed the iPad to take advantage of them. The iPad can run iPhone apps at their original size, or in "pixel doubled mode" twice the size as on the iPhone, so that they nearly fill the iPad screen. Developers can easily rewrite their iPhone apps specifically for the iPad in such a way as to take advantage of its new features.
How will the iPad affect Internet marketers? Of course, the "i" in its name stands for Internet (and it's also a clever play on the name of the "iPod"). Surfing the web will be a joy, and a larger screen will give users much more room to work with. Apple's developers brag that it's like "holding the entire Internet in your hand," or like reading a physical book or magazine.
Creation of new apps for the iPad by developers could rival the gold rush that sprang up around the iPhone. Apple offers the SDK 3.2 beta for developers with the tools they need to start creating applications for the iPad, and an iPad simulator that lets them build and run applications on the Mac, lay out the user interface, test memory usage and debug.
Web graphic designers and artists will enjoy the included Brushes application on the iPad's larger screen, although some may feel that it is something like fingerpainting -- a stylus that works with the iPad will not be supported, at least not initially.
Apple has completely rewritten its productivity software iWork for the iPad. Keynote contains custom graph styles, custom-designed themes, animations and effects, and brand-new features designed just for the iPad. Pages includes Apple-designed templates and formatting tools. Numbers offers over 250 formulas, flexible tables and sophisticated charts.
Want to catch up on your marketing reading? Apple has worked hard to make reading e-books, magazines and newspapers pleasurable on the iPad. Apple's e-book reading software has an interface that looks like a bookshelf. Flip the bookshelf over with your finger, and you're brought to the online store where you can purchase new books.
The iPad's built-in Safari browser works just like the one on your Mac. And, like the version on your iPhone, you can scroll through pages by flicking your finger across them, or pinch or double tap to zoom in on a photo.
The Mail application offers a landscape view with a split screen showing both the current e-mail and the unread messages in your inbox. Want to view the current e-mail message by itself? Simply turn the iPad to portrait mode and the message zooms to fill the screen. The iPad will work with popular e-mail providers such as mobile me, Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail and AOL. To compose a message, you just tap and start typing.
This brings us to the onscreen keyboard. Many pundits wondered how text entry would work on Apple's new tablet device. You can use an external keyboard for typing long documents if you wish. However, I think Apple made the right decision in not attempting to build a physical keyboard into the tablet. The goal of the iPad is to bring your data and web surfing up close for an intimate feel. A keypad would simply get between you and the screen.
The on-screen keyboard is much larger, of course, than what is possible on the iPhone. In landscape mode, the keyboard is almost as large as that on a standard laptop. With just a few tweaks to the word recognition and auto-correction features of the iPhone software, typing on this virtual keyboard, I suspect, could be almost as fast as using a real one. Plus, I believe that voice dictation apps could come quickly to the iPad, just as they have to the iPhone.
And, of course, the iPad includes all of the same features as the iPhone, only in a larger form--video, YouTube, the iPod and iTunes, interactive satellite maps, the notepad, a calendar completely redesigned from the ground up for the iPad, Contacts and Spotlight search.
The iPad will be shipped in three different internal storage configurations and with the option of Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 3G, for a total of six different models. The base model, the 16 GB Wi-Fi only, will start at a reasonable $499, while the top of the line 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G model will tip the scales at a still affordable $829. Apple has said that, while most new technologies are introduced at a higher price point and slowly work their way down, Apple wanted to do things differently.
When will the iPad be available? Apple expects the Wi-Fi models to ship in late March and the 3G models to ship in April.
The thinness, just 0.5 inches, the light weight, just 1.5 pounds, and the flexibility of this new device are sure to make the iPad popular with Internet marketers and anyone on the go. With its high resolution LED backlight, it's larger display, it's responsive multi-touch screen and its powerful Apple-designed processor, the new iPad will be thin and light enough to take anywhere. And I suspect that many people will choose to do exactly that.

Basic iPad Information

The iPad is Apple's first tablet computer. In 2010, Apple announced its latest one and this iPad information had been highly awaited by many tech lovers and enthusiasts. A good number of them left feeling happy and several others left feeling quite disappointed. Some iPad information states that Apple started making the iPad way back. Their history with the iPad starts from the Newton Messagepad 100 which was created way back in the year 1993. this operating system worked with the use of the ARM6 processor.
Apple also states that a PowerBook duo based tablet was also created sometime around this era and it was called the PenLite but Apple decided to delay selling it to avoid affecting the sales of the MessagePad 100. Apple kept going back to their labs and soon after, they came up with more information and then built the MessagePad 2100 which was then followed by the iPad's release in 2010.
The iPad comes with a twenty five centimeter LED display with multi touch features. It has a screen resolution of 1024 by 768 and has a total of sixty four GB flash memory. More iPad information shows Bluetooth 2.1 and has a 30 pin dock that synchronizes with the iTunes among other several features.
The applications that are found in the iPad were specifically made to be used by this tablet gadget since they utilize the big multi touch screen and can be accessed from any direction that the iPad is turned. This is also one of the unique features found in the iPad.You will find that they have a big screen which will help you to view the internet and the websites just like if you were using a laptop or your personal home or office computer. You will not have to go through unnecessary scrolling as if you were using your phone to browse the internet.
So far, it shows that two models are out in the market with one having a Wi-Fi 802.11n and the other one comes with the same Wi-Fi 802.11n 3G which easily connects you to any of the HSDPA mobile phone internet networks and is aided by the GPS. These two types of iPad normally come complete with 3 types of distinctive memory facilities. iPad information shows that the iPad which is not made to be a substitute for a mobile phone can be used together with a Bluetooth headset if one wants to make voice calls with the aid of the VoIP which can be done using either the 3G networks or the Wi-Fi if you are in a hotspot.
iPad information suggests that this tablet gadget only runs software and applications that are found in the Apple's apps store. It is important that you get clear information before you go to purchase one in order to avoid disappointments. You can easily get this iPad information from the internet at no costs.

Apple iPad Preview

The long awaited Apple tablet has finally been revealed. Steve Jobs pulled the wraps off on January 27th in a tense morning for Apple and tech fans all over the world. Now with the specifications and information out there it's time to preview the iPad and its potential.
First of all the design is pretty spectacular. The front is dominated by the large 9.7" LCD Led lit display that without a doubt will look great. Just below the screen you get the iPhone home button that allows you to go back to the beginning at all times. One less pretty feature for me are the black borders around the screen. They are a bit too wide for my taste, it would've been better if Apple was able to stretch the display a little and remove the borders. On the top you get the sleep button that will deactivate the display. On the right side you get the volume buttons and the silence switch, interesting is that the buttons have been moved from left (iPhone) to the right. On the back you get the large black Apple logo in the middle of a big gray (aluminum?) mass. It also says iPad on the back, the number of GBs and a few FCC things that are required to be there I think. It's not impossible to assume that the new iPhone will feature a similar back. The tablet is really thin, in fact it's just 0.5 inch thick, that's as thick as an iPhone. Height and width measures come in at: 9.6 inches and 7.47 inch.
Now lets talk about the software of the iPad. It works very similar to an iPhone. Slide to unlock and you're in the main screen with the typical iPhone icons. You get: YouTube, mail, Safari, contacts, iPod, iTunes, app store, video, settings, maps (by Google!), calendar, photos and last but not least notes.
The apps have been modified a bit for the new capabilities though. For example photos are now arranged by event blocks. Tapping on a block of photos will show you a preview of the photos in that event (or map for windows users). However you can also view your most treasured memories by list, location, faces or date. We can imagine that it will look really fantastic to manipulate the photographs on a huge touchscreen and to show it to your friends.
Another app Steve Jobs showed extensively was the Safari app. The browsing experience exceeds the desktop experience because you can touch and flick through the pages. And unlike the iPhone you now see the full webpages.
The App store will transform this device into things Apple alone could never achieve. You can run all the iPhone applications on it in either full screen or 1:1, the latter being the actual resolution we're used to from out favorite smartphone. But in addition to running the iPhone apps, the iPad will also get its own apps. Developers can create programs for it and utilize its full potential. The things we've seen in the keynote, including software from EA, looked okay but not very impressive. In a few months some amazing piece of codes will come out for the tablet we're sure.
I have taken everything into consideration and a few things bug me as of now. Firstly does the iPad have flash support? The tablet is suppose to deliver the best browsing experience ever, but flash is a big part of the experience.
Another thing is the hardware. Apart from the case and the touchscreen things aren't looking good on paper. It has a quadcore 1ghz processor built in from Apple, a company not specialized in these chips. I have fears that this A4 processor might not be fast enough for the really interesting apps. Another downer is the lack of iSight camera. This thing would have been amazing for conferencing or instant messaging, an opportunity missed there. Other hardware figures are a mystery. Like how quick is the graphics chip? And how much system memory does it have to work with?
And last but not least I'm having a hard time giving the software my two thumbs up. I think it looks to much like the iPhone software. The iPad would have been a much stronger product if the software allowed some advanced things like video editing or the ability to access and store files in finder windows (or maps for windows users).
To conclude. The iPad looks amazing and with a price of EUR499 it will sell really well. But much like the first iPhone launch the iPad has some obvious shortcomings. It isn't really fast, has no webcam and on top of that the software is lacking premium computing features. With that said I might still get one if the experience is as amazing as Steve Jobs expressed during his presentation. Which knowing Apple will probably be the case.

New iPad Apps for Publishing

You can find the one of the best new iPad apps for publishing on the web. However, you need to find out the best applications to get the best out of these publishing tools. Ipad has the best applications in terms of games, media applications, and utilities and publishing tools. It is also the best way to browse the web, watch movies in a car, and read in pitch darkness, and has thousand other uses. In fact, iPad specific applications number close to sixty thousand as of January 2011.
Which Options are Available?
Apart from the current sixty thousand applications, iPad can also run 300,000 iPhone and iPad apps. This means you can try the applications for the next 16 years and still there will be more. You certainly need help to sift through the best publishing iPad applications. This is because you have a lot of design decisions to take. You would have to choose between single-folio or multi-folio viewer app, decide whether the orientation would be vertical, horizontal or both. You also need to know the best apps for dual-orientation apps.
Apple Inc. has revolutionized the IT industry by developing products like iPods and iphones. The recent development is a tablet which works without a keyboard and mouse. However, iPad publishing innovation has left the users confused as to which application to choose and which to leave out. For instance, the users are confused as to whether for multi-issue folios, should the preview folio be included, or they will have to download it. The company which has the publish technology for iPads should also decide in advance the best ways to provide free preview content to the users. The designers should also decide whether vertical swiping should be turned off. They should also choose between smooth scrolling and page-by-page flipping. Actually, it depends on the designer's discretion what he wants to give to his users.
What Should The Companies Do?
There is an increasing demand for iPad application development and therefore the companies who make new iPad apps should hire a developer who has experience and knowledge and who can handle the applications well. He should also be able to handle the application with its complex nature and length. Some of the best developers are from India. The developer you hire for iPad self publishing should develop something which is organized as well as personalized. The applications developed should be innovative and powerful because there is increased competition in the market. Also, this is an ever-changing industry and therefore the application should be something dynamic.
Hire a developer who has complete knowledge of iPad features and applications so that he can easily handle problems and bugs if they arise. For developing the best iPad publisher software, choose a developer who specializes in iPad applications only. An inefficient or inexperienced developer may waste your time, money, effort, and resources. You would certainly not want to be left behind in the race. Outsourcing companies can help you get the right developers. You can change the developer if you do not like his work.
Apart from developers, you could also choose a company that specializes in iPad publishing for magazines. These companies offer new iPad apps and also 24*7 customer support. Choose only the best to get the best.
The writer is a developer for new ipad apps in the UK with comprehensive knowledge regarding publishing on ipads in particular ipad apps magazine publishing.
